Gael Switchboards Wellington Ltd,
we’re proudly locally owned and operated, with over 50 years combined experience among the three registered Master Electricians and eight skilled team members on our staff.
In the beginning, Giles and Elliott Ltd was the major electrical switchboard manufacturer in Wellington from the late 1950’s until the 1990’s. By 1994 it had become part of the world wide Schneider Electric company.
Their merger strategy did not include complete switchboard design and manufacture, so Gael Switchboards Wellington Ltd was formed by the existing staff; where that philosophy of quality and service were continued and the experience retained.
Gael Switchboards Wellington Ltd has remained the leading specialist manufacturer of electrical switchboards in the Wellington region.
Our primary focus is the design and manufacture of products and solutions for commercial and industrial applications.
Our particular strength has been in assisting with the design of replacement switchboards – meeting the stringent requirements of space, existing cabling and connections, access to the switchboard room, and facilitating a smooth changeover.
Our primary products include main switchboards, distribution boards, power factor correction units, control panels and on-site support. We have excellent working relationships with all the major Electrical Contractors and Consultants in the Wellington region with a proven record of successful cooperation during installation and any site work.
